2018 Asian Men's Handball Championship
The 2018 Asian Men's Handball Championship was the 18th edition of the championship held under the aegis of Asian Handball Federation.
The championship was hosted at Suwon, South Korea from 18 to 28 January 2018.
It acted as the Asian qualifying tournament for the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship.
For the first time, Australia, New Zealand and Bangladesh participated.
MATCH SCHEDULE
Welcome to the 26th IHF Men’s World Championship where 24 teams are competing for the World Championship title.
The preliminary round is played in 4 groups of 6 teams in the cities of Berlin, Munich, Herning and Copenhagen.
Germany is playing in group A in Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin.
France or Croatia is playing in Group B in Olympiahalle in Munich.
Denmark is playing in group C in Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning except for their first match that is played in Royal Arena, Copenhagen.
Norway or Sweden is playing in group D in Royal Arena in Copenhagen.
The top 3 teams of each group goes to the main round which is played in two groups in the cities of Cologne and Herning. The teams ranked 4 to 6 in the preliminary round groups continue to the President’s Cup played over 2 days in the cities of Cologne and Copenhagen.
4 teams from the main round groups qualify for the semifinals that are played in Hamburg.
The final and the bronze match are played in Herning.
